Spherical Bearings

Spherical bearing permits rotation with low friction, and permits angular misalignment. Typically, these bearings support a rotating shaft in the bore of the inner ring that may be misaligned in respect to the outer ring.

Kasuma offers the following types of spherical bearings:

  • Spherical roller bearings – Spherical roller bearings consist of an inner ring with two raceways, an outer ring with a common spherical raceway, spherical rollers, cages and, in certain designs, also internal center rings. The bearings can also be sealed.
  • Plain Spherical bearings (GE series) – Spherical plain bearings are metal-on-metal bearings consisting of a spherically ground inner ring housed in a mating outer ring without any rolling elements. Their design makes them particularly suitable for bearing arrangements where alignment movements between shaft and housing have to be accommodated Spherical ball bearings.
